The Club has applied for a Woolworths Community Grant for Goalie equipment to loan to Junior players

League Structure for 2008

There are two seasons:
Season 1 : 11 February – 23 June 2008
Second 2 : 21 July – 17 November 2008

No hockey will be played on School Holidays, Public Holidays and Pupil Free Days.

Each season will consist of 11 games followed by a semi-final and then a final. Every player will receive a trophy for his or her participation in this competition. Trophies are presented at the end of each season on Presentation night.

The first two weeks of the season are training sessions and will be used to determine team make-up and assessment of all players. These first two weeks are important to teach and remind players of basic hockey techniques and rules i.e. holding the sticks on the ground, skating and stopping, skating and hitting a puck, playing safely and explaining other basic rules. After every school holidays there will also be 1 training session before games resume.

All in-house players should be at the rink 15 minutes before their scheduled games.

All players must be fully geared up and ready to start the game on time or the length of the game will be shortened as there is a tight timetable.

If a player is absent for 4 consecutive weeks their position on the team will become vacant and may be filled by another player

However if the absence has been noted on the attendance sheet, their position will remain on that team. Please notify the In-house committee as soon as possible of any anticipated absences.
